The muted one of the family: the corner sprigs are grey-green with pink flowers rather than the usual orange or fuchsia, and the rosette’s centre is a magenta ring around a small dark heart, so the piece sits quietly on a wall where its siblings shout. Otherwise the layout is the classic one — cream scalloped rosette on black cotton, a white scroll vine inside a red band, a dark patterned outer border. Portrait, 90 × 110 cm.
Silk thread on cotton, hand-embroidered in Uzbekistan. Newly embroidered for Alesouk in the traditional stitches; it arrives clean, even and bright.
