One of a pair of small panels in the same design (the other is IS0223): a large cream rosette with scalloped petals fills a black cotton ground, and this piece has a yellow-orange centre and sprigs of purple and orange flowers in the four corners — the other has a pink centre and pink-and-green sprigs. A white scroll vine runs inside a red band, an orange band sits inside that, and the panel is finished with a wide dark patterned outer border.
Silk thread on cotton, hand-embroidered in the Soviet period; vintage, not antique, with the slightly softened black of a cloth that has been used.
