A small, nearly square suzani on a magenta cotton ground. Four black medallions with pointed star edges are arranged two by two, each holding a yellow or white flower with a contrasting centre and small leaves; white scroll motifs fill the space between, and a border of white dots on black closes the square. The contrast of hot pink and black is the whole point of the piece, and it is strong enough to hold a wall by itself.
Silk thread on cotton, hand-embroidered in Uzbekistan. Newly embroidered for Alesouk in the traditional stitches; it arrives clean, even and bright.
