The only green-ground suzani in the shop: a dark olive cotton cloth carrying rows of large paisleys — the bota, the curved leaf-drop motif — each drawn with a cream outline and filled with red, with pink and red flowers inside, and cream vines with small pink blossoms running between the rows. The border repeats the motif at a smaller scale. At 130 × 200 cm it is a single-bed cover or a generous sofa throw as much as a hanging.
Silk thread on cotton, hand-embroidered in Uzbekistan. Newly embroidered for Alesouk in the traditional stitches; it arrives clean, even and bright.
