Sky-blue silk pile crowded with red, green, yellow and burgundy medallions and flowers. A six-colour velvet means six rounds of tying on the pile warp, which is rarer and slower than in flat ikat.

Handmade note
Woven on a wooden loom with two warps — a cotton ground and a silk pile warp tied and dyed before weaving — so expect what the hand leaves: small shifts in the motif where the warp moved, slight changes in pile height, and a pile that looks lighter or darker depending on which way you view it. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
Availability
This cloth is out of stock. Ikat is woven in small runs, so a design is not always on the shelf — but this one can be woven again. If you would like it, tell us through the contact page and we will let you know when it can be woven and how long it will take. A new dyelot may differ slightly in colour from the photograph.
