A table runner rather than a wall piece: 50 cm wide and 145 cm long, on a cream cotton ground, with a repeat of open-petalled flowers in blue and red — daisies, more or less — joined by green stems and leaves, the whole thing drawn in the loose, airy style associated with Turkish and Ottoman floral embroidery rather than the dense rosettes of Bukhara. The ground shows between the motifs, which keeps it light on a table.
The thread is silk, the ground cotton, and the embroidery is by hand. The photograph shows the runner laid flat with the pattern running its full length.

Character and use
The classic uses: down the centre of a dining table for six, along a sideboard or chest, or across the foot of a bed. It is one of three cream runners in this size in the shop — the others carry an orange-and-red roundel lattice (IS0117, sold) and red, blue and green vines (IS0113, sold) — and this is the lightest of the three in colour. More small pieces are under Small Suzani.
