The ground is a clear sky blue — rare among suzanis, which are usually black, red, cream or magenta — and the embroidery on it is big and bold: roundels of red and yellow with dark red scalloped petals, the size of a dinner plate and more, with green leaves and stems between them. The scale of the flowers against the pale ground gives it a lightness the dark-ground roundel pieces do not have.
Silk thread on cotton, hand-embroidered in Uzbekistan. Newly embroidered for Alesouk in the traditional stitches; it arrives clean, even and bright.
