Mustard Yellow & White Silk Ikat Fabric – Large Chevron

The mustard colourway of our large brown chevron: a warm ochre yellow zigzags across a white ground in wide bands, every edge feathered where the tie-dyed warp shifted on the loom. On the 50 cm loom the chevron is generous enough to centre on a cushion front or run down a dress as a single bold stripe. Sixty per cent silk, forty cotton; 50 cm wide.

Suitable uses

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces — the test described in our handwoven versus printed ikat guide. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
