Sunshine Yellow & White Silk Ikat Fabric – Large Feathered Motifs

The old listing called it Sunshine and the name is fair: a clear, warm yellow fills the ground and large white shapes — half leaf, half flame — sweep across it with the feathered edges that tie-dyed warp always leaves. Two colours only, so it is easy to place, and the silk warp makes the yellow glow rather than shout. Sixty per cent silk, forty cotton, 40 cm wide.

Suitable uses

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
