Grey, Rust & Tan Silk Ikat Fabric – Charlotte

The Charlotte design — dense, interlocking palmettes — in its earth-tone colourway: dove grey, rust brown and tan on white, where the 42 cm version (IF0655) is mustard and burgundy. Same drawing, different mood: this one is quiet enough for a whole sofa or a pair of curtains, and it sits well with oak, leather and linen. Sixty per cent silk, forty cotton, on the 40 cm Margilan loom with a 225 cm repeat.

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
