Rust Red, Gold & White Silk Ikat Fabric – Abstract Feathered Motifs

Rust red and golden yellow in loose, abstract shapes on white — no palmette or chevron to name, just colour feathering into colour the way tie-dyed warp does. This is one of our higher-silk cloths, seventy per cent silk to thirty cotton, so it has more gloss and more drape than the adras blends; the gold in particular glows in daylight. 39 cm wide.

Suitable uses

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
