Turquoise, Olive & Brown Silk Ikat Fabric – Abstract Feathered Motifs

The cool sister of our rust-and-gold abstract: turquoise, olive green and brown feather into each other across a white ground in shapes too loose to name. Seventy per cent silk gives it gloss and drape; the old listing sold it as upholstery, which a high-silk cloth is not — it belongs on a window or a body. 39 cm wide.

Suitable uses

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces — the test described in our handwoven versus printed ikat guide. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
