Ivory and Indigo Cotton Ikat Fabric – Flame Medallions

One colour on ivory, done well: large indigo-blue medallions whose edges break into flames where the dye crept under the ties. Cotton takes indigo deeply, and the single colour keeps the cloth calm enough for a whole wall of curtains.

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces — the test described in our handwoven versus printed ikat guide. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.

This cloth is out of stock. Ikat is woven in small runs, so a design is not always on the shelf — but this one can be woven again.
