Forest Green, Black & White Silk Ikat Fabric – Palmette Columns

Forest green and black palmettes stacked in columns on a white ground, each motif outlined in black and filled with green, with the white showing as feathered outlines between them. The black gives it a graphic weight that the green-only cloths lack; it reads well in a room with dark furniture. Half silk, half cotton, 42 cm wide.

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
