Bright orange at full strength with cream scrolls turning through it. Seventy per cent silk gives the orange a shine that shifts as you cross the room — the highest silk content we weave into a cover.

Where it goes
It carries a grey, cream or dark green sofa on its own, and warms a rattan chair. More ikat cushion covers, or the same cloth by the metre if you would rather sew your own.
How this ikat is made
The pattern is tied and dyed into the warp threads before a single row is woven — abrbandi, the cloud-binding. The weaver works to a design that exists only as knots on a stretched warp, and every extra colour is another round of tying and dyeing. That is why the edges feather rather than cut sharp, and why no two covers are quite the same. The cloth is handwoven in Margilan, in the Fergana Valley; the cover is cut and sewn in our own workshop in Bukhara.
Availability
This cover is out of stock. The cloth is handwoven in small runs, so it is not always on the shelf — but the design can be woven again. If you would like this one, tell us through the contact page and we will let you know when it can be made and how long the weaving will take.
