Electric Blue, Yellow & Purple Silk Ikat Fabric – Large Feathered Motifs

The brightest blue in the shop — a saturated electric turquoise-blue — carrying large yellow, purple and white shapes whose feathered edges bleed into the ground. On the 50 cm loom the motifs are big enough to centre one on a cushion. It is a cloth for a white room or a summer kaftan, and it photographs like a swimming pool. Half silk, half cotton.

Suitable uses

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces — the test described in our handwoven versus printed ikat guide. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
