Beige, Tan & White Silk Ikat Fabric – Tone-on-Tone Feathered Motifs

The neutral in the silk section: beige, tan and a little camel feathering across an off-white ground, so quiet that the pattern reads as texture until light rakes across it. It was listed as a home-collection cloth and that is where it belongs — it takes patterned cushions beside it, sits with linen and oak, and photographs like sand. Fifty per cent silk, fifty cotton; 42 cm wide.

Suitable uses

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
