Slate Blue & Grey Silk Ikat Fabric – Feathered Chevron on White

Chevrons in slate blue and grey on a white ground, the stripes narrower and more numerous than on our two-colour chevrons so the cloth reads as a soft blue haze from across a room and as a crisp zigzag up close. The old listing sold it as upholstery; it is better used where a silk-cotton blend will not be sat on. Sixty per cent silk, forty cotton, 40 cm wide with a 225 cm repeat.

Suitable uses

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
