Teal Blue & White Silk Ikat Fabric – Feathered Palmettes

Teal — a blue with green in it — drawn as large feathered palmettes on white, the teal breaking into pale stripes at every edge where the tie-dyed warp shifted. Two colours, so it is easy to place, and the teal sits between our ocean blue and our forest green in a room. Half silk, half cotton; 42 cm wide.

Suitable uses

Handmade note

Handwoven on a wooden loom, so expect what the loom leaves: motif edges that feather where the warp shifted, a hairline of colour variation along the length, and a selvedge that is not perfectly straight. The pattern is dyed into the thread, not printed on it, and shows on both faces. Colours differ slightly between dyelots, so order the full length you need at once.
