This decorative embroidery panel was hand-stitched by women using age-old traditions on hand loomed ikat fabric. Because of the unique and handmade nature of this pillow cover, it gives unrepeatable design to your house decoration. Cotton, Silk, Naturel Dye, Suzani, ikat Fabric, Tribal Pattern, Organic are merged together, colored with natural dyes, demonstrated eastern traditional uzbek craft. Ornament forms and pattern compositions of Bukhara embroideries are so specific that, despite their entire diversity and beauty, one finds no difficulty in distinguishing this local style from all the rest ones, except for those few specimens, which resemble Nurata embroidery and, probably were manufactured under the latter’s influence. Like the ornament of embroideries of other regions of Uzbekistan ( and in all, Central Asian ornament ), Bukhara embroidery patterns depict largely floral forms-leaves, profile flowers and rosettes. However, some of these vegetative forms are viewed as the depiction of different subjects.

First, embroidery suzani decorated with geometric motifs on a plain fabric. Then hand-dyed. Warp threads are bound and dyed at least six times. Embroidery stitches applied with a needlework or tambour hook. Often, embroidery motifs enter a design through the embroiderer’s or craftsman’s wish to incorporate a unique striking image from their own lives. In this way, motifs deploy powers of sympathetic magic. Thus, suzani resembles geometricized, vaguely floral pattern drawn upon a repertoire of motifs from the dynamic embroideries of the nomadic Uzbek. Embroideries are unique in style, their primitive, dynamic, asymmetrical motifs seeming to float on the background fabric.
