Turkmen and "Bukhara" rugs. Rows of octagonal medallions, called guls, on a deep red ground. The name "Bukhara" comes from the market city where these rugs were traded for centuries, not from where they are woven. Ours are woven in Afghanistan and include most of the room-size rugs in this section. The smaller classic pieces are in Turkmen Rugs.
Persian-style rugs. A central medallion or an all-over floral field inside a wide border, in reds, navy and ivory.
Turkish and Anatolian-style rugs. Bolder geometry, hooked and stepped motifs, often in red with blue and ochre.
Moroccan-style and tribal rugs. Open lattices, diamonds and stars on lighter or natural grounds, the most relaxed designs in the section.
The small rugs, around 150 × 100 cm, are for beside a bed, a reading corner, an entrance or a child's room. The 300 × 200 cm rugs (9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in) anchor a living room under a sofa and coffee table, or a dining table for six. If you are between the two, measure the space and compare it with the size on the listing; every rug is a single piece, so the size given is the size you receive.

Yes, all of them, by hand. A rug called "Turkish", "Persian" or "Moroccan" on a listing is named for its design.
A 300 × 200 cm rug has about four times the area of a 150 × 100 cm rug, and every knot is tied by hand, so it takes several times longer to weave.
