A trouser leg is about 30 cm wide at the hem and 35 at the thigh, which is one width of Margilan ikat with a seam allowance to spare, so each leg is cut from a single length and the pattern runs the full height. Wide palazzo legs are two widths seamed at the repeat. Waistbands are elasticated or drawstring unless the listing says otherwise; skirts are cut the same way as dresses, in vertical panels.
A set is one dyelot across two garments, cut together so the pattern matches — which cannot be repeated later, so if you want a third piece to match, order it at the same time. Write to us with the listing and your measurements: waist, hip, inside leg, and for a set the jacket measurements too.
